MAGANA’s founder, Omar Chaoui, is originally from Morocco where he was born, raised and educated. Despite living in Dubai since the late 1990’s, Omar is still deeply connected to his Moroccan roots and culture. As a tribute to his origins, he has picked the name MAGANA which is the literal translation of the word watch In the
Moroccan Arabic dialect of Darija.

Movements are sourced from Japan. Components come from vetted partners in China, Hong Kong SAR and
Vietnam. Final assembly and quality control is done in China. Design and technical studies are conducted
between the UAE, Switzerland, Japan and China

Yes, depending on the model, the water resistance goes from 3 ATM / 30 m to 10 ATM / 100 m. This is suitable
for everyday splashes and brief contact with water. After seawater exposure, rinse with fresh water. (Not intended
for diving.)

212 honors our founder’s Moroccan roots (the country code). It also carries symbolism—balance (2), creation (1), independence (2+1+2=5)—and echoes vibrant cities sharing 212 area codes, from New York to Istanbul.

Two years from delivery against manufacturing defects. Wear-and-use issues aren’t covered (e.g., impacts,
strong magnetic fields). Our reliable Japanese movements are widely serviceable; if something happens, contact us and we’ll help you resolve it quickly.

Drops are truly limited—when it’s gone, it’s gone. That said, reach out: we can discuss a one-off, made-for-you version inspired by the sold-out piece (priced differently).

To keep quality high and prices fair, we sell our products online or through exhibitions. For the time being, there are no retailers, distributors, or boutiques. Each drop is limited in production. Explore extensive wrist shots and product visuals on our site and social channels to see how MAGANA wears in real life. In Dubai however, it is possible to organize a private viewing in our offices.

We ship worldwide except to Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, and Ukraine.

If you order a timepiece that is readily available, we can proceed to ship it to you using the services of a reliable courier company such as FedEx or DHL. The shipping takes place within 3 days of receiving your order. If however, you pre-order a piece that is not readily available, please appreciate that we will always prioritize quality over speed: please allow a 60-90 day window from order to shipment. We do everything possible to keep timelines tight while upholding our standards.

Prices exclude local duties and taxes (the customer’s responsibility). MAGANA covers shipping. Our logistics partner will, when possible, arrange and collect duties/taxes on your behalf to simplify the process. With regards to shipping to the United Stats of America, we understand that the import duties are - in 2025 at least – fluctuating. Please do reach out directly so we can try and help you navigate the customs duties in the USA.
