Magana is the word for "watch" in Darija, the Arabic dialect of Morocco. Our founder, Omar Chaoui, was born and raised in Morocco and has lived in Dubai since the late 1990s. The name is his way of carrying home with him.
212 is Morocco's country code, a nod to where MAGANA comes from. It's also the area code of Manhattan and of Istanbul's European side: two more cities where cultures meet, just like Dubai that we call Home.
Our watches are designed between the UAE, Switzerland, Japan and China. Movements come from Japan. Components come from vetted partners in China, Hong Kong SAR and Vietnam, and final assembly and quality control take place in China. Each new product category will have its manufacturing origins detailed on its product pages.
We sell online and at selected exhibitions, which keeps our pieces limited and our prices fair. In Dubai, we're happy to arrange a private viewing at our office; just get in touch. Elsewhere, our site and Instagram show plenty of real wrist shots. As it stands, we are in the process of curating a short list of physical points of sale in some key cities that will be carrying MAGANA products.
Yes. Depending on the model, from 3 ATM (30 m) to 10 ATM (100 m); each product page states the exact rating. 3 ATM handles rain and hand-washing; 10 ATM handles swimming. None of our watches are designed for diving. After seawater or chlorine, rinse with fresh water.
Each stone dial is cut from natural stone, so no two are alike. Avoid hard knocks, which can crack natural stone, and keep the watch away from extreme heat.
Our production runs are limited, and once a reference is sold out, we don't remake it unless if, of course, we see that demand is very high. If a past piece truly speaks to you, write to us anyway. In some cases we can create a one-off piece inspired by it, made just for you and priced individually.
Prices are set in AED. Prices in other currencies are shown for guidance and may vary slightly with exchange rates.

Some pieces are released on pre-order before production is complete. Pre-ordering is always the best price: pre-order prices are always below the retail price once the piece is readily available (historically around 20% lower). Please allow 90 to 120 days from order to shipment; we'll keep you updated along the way. You can cancel for a full refund until the end of the pre-order period.
We review our retail prices twice a year, around February–March and September–October. The price you see when you order is the price you pay.

Almost everywhere. We can't currently deliver to Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria or Ukraine, due to sanctions or carrier restrictions.
In-stock pieces ship within 3 to 5 working days by FedEx or DHL, insured and tracked; delivery usually takes 2 to 5 days after that. Pre-orders ship within the window shown on the product page.
Shipping is on us, worldwide. Import duties and local taxes are not included and are paid on delivery; where possible, our courier will handle the paperwork for you. Duty rules for the United States change often, so if you're ordering to the US, write to us first and we'll help you understand what to expect.
Yes. Tell us within 14 days of delivery and send the piece back within 14 days of that, unworn, with its protective film and all packaging and papers. Return shipping is at your cost, and we refund the full purchase price. Special orders and personalised pieces can't be returned. Full details are in our Returns policy.
Every MAGANA product is guaranteed for 2 years from delivery against manufacturing defects. Normal wear, accidents, misuse and unauthorised repairs aren't covered. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
Write to us. We'll assess any MAGANA piece, whenever it was bought, subject to the availability of parts and materials. For our timepieces, we only use Japanese movements are robust and widely serviceable.
