The TANJA Tiger’s Eye has a brushed stainless steel case, 37 mm in diameter and 8 mm thick. It runs on a battery-powered Japanese MIYOTA quartz movement.

The dial is cut from natural tiger’s eye, a quartz stone found in rock that has been cracked and resealed again and again by the earth’s movements. With each crack, mineral-rich water filled the gap, trapping fine fibres in the quartz. Iron in those fibres later oxidised into the stone’s golden-brown tones. The result is chatoyancy: a band of light that glides across the surface as the dial moves, like the eye of a tiger.

The tiger’s eye stones used for our timepieces come from South Africa and Namibia, known to produce the finest examples of this stone. Because it is a natural stone, no two dials are alike.

The watch is completed with a brown calfskin leather strap stamped with an alligator pattern.

Born from a rare transformation where silky fibers slowly became quartz, natural tiger’s eye holds the warmth of sunlight trapped instone. Its golden bands shimmer with movement, a quiet reminder of strength and resilience shaped over millions of years. It feels both grounded and fiercely alive.
